Abstract
The influences of mesoporous materials like MCM41/SBA15 as catalysts on pyrolytic liquids from wood were investigated. The pyrolysis oil was analyzed by elemental analyzer, size exclusion chromatography and gas chromatographymass spectrometry. Elemental analysis for the upgraded oils shows a decreasing trend for oxygen content of the oil, which confirmed that the mesoporous materials is a kind of effective substances for removing oxygen from the pyrolysis oil. After catalysis upgrading the proportion of the long chain compounds is obviously diminished, while the aromatic compounds markedly increase in pyrolytic oil. The analysis from GCMS show that the content of the compounds such as pentadecane, hexadecane, dimethyjbenzene, naphthalene, etc. markedly increase, and methylphenol, 2methoxy4methylphenol, 2methoxy4ropylphenol, etc. decreases.
