Abstract:
The gasification reactivity of Shenhua coal char (CC) and Shenhua coal direct liquefaction residue char (RC) with CO
2 and steam was studied using a fixed bed reactor. The results show that CC has a higher steam gasification activity than RC, while RC has a higher CO
2 gasification activity than CC, which is due to different influencing factors for steam and CO
2 gasification. For steam gasification the reactivity of char is mainly affected by coal rank, but for CO
2 gasification the reactivity of char is mainly affected by the catalysis of mineral matter.
